Quick answer

Frames that work against your widest third.

A glasses finder recommends frame families that balance your face by contrasting its widest third, using your measured face shape and proportions.

Upload a photo

How it works

  1. Choose a photo

Use a front-facing photo without glasses, hair off your face, in even light.

  2. We read your face shape

Your face length, cheekbone, jaw and forehead widths are measured.

  3. We rank frames

Frame styles are scored against your shape and proportions, favouring frames that contrast your widest third.

  4. You get your frames

You see ranked frame styles, each with the measurement it answers, and can save or dismiss each one.

How we handle your photo

What happens from the moment you choose a photo:

Step 01
Prepared in your browser

Your photo is resized and its location and camera metadata removed before anything is sent.

Step 02
Landmarks found on your device

Face landmarks are located in your browser. If your browser can't, they are found on our server instead, by our own model or Amazon Rekognition.

Step 03
Checked, then discarded

The photo is sent once over an encrypted connection to check lighting and sharpness, and for colour tools to sample your skin. It is held in memory for that request and never written to disk or a database.

Step 04
What we keep

The measurements from your read, saved to your profile, which works without an account. Export or delete them any time.

Step 05
Not used for training

Your photo is never used to train models. We don't keep it, so it can't be.

Verification & Methodology

How we check our method

FaceAuraAI publishes its method, a rule check anyone can re-run and its bias notes — not scan totals or accuracy percentages. Each result carries a confidence label based on that photo's quality and how clear-cut the result was.

Current status: No production aggregate is published yet. Internal regression tests are engineering checks, not population statistics.

Stated selection biases

  • Selfie uploaders who choose to use FaceAuraAI tools
  • Front-facing photos with sufficient landmark confidence
  • Landmarks found in the browser where it can, on the server where it can't
  • English-first marketing traffic until locale depth catches up
  • No age, region, or ethnicity stratification unless explicitly sampled and labeled

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the glasses finder free?

Yes. Guests get 2 free reads a day, and a free account gets 5 a month. The limit is checked before you choose a photo, so you never upload and then hit a paywall.

What glasses suit my face shape?

Frames usually suit a face when they contrast its shape: angular frames for rounder faces, rounded frames for angular ones, and wider or top-heavy frames where the lower face is broader. The finder ranks styles for your own measurements, not just the shape name.

Should I take my glasses off for the photo?

Yes. Frames hide the brow and cheekbone landmarks the finder measures. Take them off and push your hair back from your face.

Can the finder choose frame colour?

After a colour read with the skin tone detector, frame colours and metals are matched to your undertone.

Do you store my photo?

No. Your photo is used for this one read and then discarded; it is never written to disk or a database. What we keep are the measurements, saved to your profile, which you can export or delete at any time.

How reliable are the recommendations?

Each recommendation cites the measurement it is based on, and the face-shape read carries a confidence label from your photo's quality. A clear, straight-on photo gives the most reliable ranking.
