What we publish
FaceAuraAI publishes aggregate shape-label counts only when they come from anonymized scans on this platform with a documented sample window. We do not claim a census of all faces worldwide.
Current status: No production aggregate is published yet. Golden fixture runs (internal geometry tests) are not population statistics and are never presented as scan totals.
Stated selection biases
- Selfie uploaders who choose to use FaceAuraAI tools
- Front-facing photos with sufficient landmark confidence
- Rekognition landmark path on the cloud analyze route (not on-device MediaPipe)
- English-first marketing traffic until locale depth catches up
- No age, region, or ethnicity stratification unless explicitly sampled and labeled
Legacy blog posts may cite older cohort sizes. Those figures are not maintained as live dataset releases on this page.
Methodology link
Labels come from the same geometric classifier as the detector. Confidence scores stay on individual scans — they are not converted into public accuracy percentages.
